Advertising a product can be a daunting task, but if you take some basic steps and decide which method (or methods) you’ll use, things will become a lot more simpler. Take some of these ideas for example. There are many more, but this is a good start.

1. There is a competition. This is a great way to collect customer contact information for marketing in the future. This is often referred a continuity program and it enables you to contact prospects over and over again, even on auto pilot. This is one of the major marketing techniques used by Internet marketers these days to deliver information products. It’s useful, cheap and effective because you can set the type of system on auto pilot.

2. Newspaper. Placing advertisements for your product in the newspaper can be a very effective way to market and let the community that you’ve got something to sell. Classified ads are a great way to get exposure. They’re cheap and they are very targeted but most often used to advertise small private sales, and not large companies.

3. Radio. If you’ve just launched product or company it’s a great way to get exposure. Advertising by radio has been proven to have very high conversion rates and also great exposure. 7. Internet (Social Networking). Getting a large network of potential customers and friends is a great way to get exposure and become recognised as an expert in your field. A great strategy!

8. Word of mouth. Article writing can be used to market your products, and if you’re great at writing articles some of them might be picked up by some big publishers and go viral! This means big traffic and lots more sales from your site.

9. Partnerships. Partner with others who have large lists to market. This gives you the power to get started, or build relationships with more and more clients.

10. Billboards. Great for brand awareness if you’ve already got a great product. Get your name up in lights, or get your product recognised quickly using billboards in common areas.
